$30.00

by Doris Jean Post Poinsett. Descendants of Valentin Pfost from several branches of the family have been distinguished citizens of their communities and states This work is limited to the first six generations of descendants of Valentin Pfost based on those children named in his will. Female lines have been extended for only one generation out of the surname. Within those limitations nearly all descendants through great-great grandchildren of Valentin Pfost have been included. The next two generations are incomplete in several branches. Also covered briefly in this work are some other contemporary Pfost or Post families of (West) Virginia prior to 1850 whose ancestors are undetermined. This is a hard-cover, 8 ½ X 11 book containing 498 pages including a name index. These books have been donated to HCPD by Benjamin Poinsett in memory of his wife Doris Jean Post Poinsett. Proceeds from sales of the book will be placed in the Doris Jean Post Poinsett Memorial Fund to be used for special HCPD projects to be determined in the future.
