He performed all over the country, recorded for a major Nashville label, helped introduce Patsy Cline to the airways, and ran his own record company featuring regional acts from WV, Virginia, Maryland and Pa. Along the way, his life became entwined with radio in Winchester, VA and with assorted businesses and civic efforts, often involving music, in both Winchester and his hometown, Berkeley Springs, WV.
