In addition to the names of “P.N” and “Newt” he answered journalistically to the name of “Uncle Zeke” for over forty years. He gained fame in central WV from the last decade of the 19th century until the late 1930’s by writing a newsy and humorous column initially for the Weston World and later the Weston Independent and Braxton Democrat.
