It was a mystery photo! Name on sign held up looked could be a C-G-Gr?? It looked like Peterson Cemetery. Guessing the boy was around 10 yrs.. This at time meant born approx. 1912??

Answers: Name was Roy Cross and he was born 12/16/1913. Picture was taken at his Father's grave in the McWhorter Church Cemetery. His father passed in July/1914 and his name was William Robert Cross. The sign he is holding says Roy Cross by his Father's Grave June 25, 1922.

Appears that his grandparents, Sylvester and Sarah Lowther raised him. His mother remarried to a Mr. Rymer and had 6 more children. Roy married on Christmas Day in 1937 to a Virginia Mary Woofter. He passed in 2001.
