Exciting Things Are Happening at Hacker’s Creek Genealogy Library

Weston—Consumer interest in discovering their ancestral roots continues to grow in

popularity, and now you may not need to look any further than your local library to make your

next exciting family discovery. The Hacker’s Creek Genealogy Library is now a FamilySearch

Affiliate Library, which means it has access to more genealogy resources to help you make more family discoveries. FamilySearch is a world leader in family history.

The FamilySearch Affiliate Library designation means Hacker’s Creek library patrons

will now have greater and more convenient access to the wealth of genealogical resources

available through FamilySearch. The popular web service has over 13 billion searchable names

and 6 billion viewable images of historical genealogical records—and you get the helpful

assistance of knowledgeable, in person library staff.

FamilySearch adds hundreds of millions of free genealogical records and images online yearly

from all over the world and manages the famous FamilySearch Library in Salt Lake City. It has

amassed billions of birth, marriage, death, census, land and court records from more than 200

countries and territories to help you discover and make family connections.

“Libraries are wonderful local gathering places for learning and discovery. We are excited to

have Hacker’s Creek Genealogy Library as our newest FamilySearch Affiliate Library. Such valued relationships help FamilySearch enable more individuals to experience inspiring journeys of discovery and make more personal family connections,” said Paul Nauta, FamilySearch Public Relations Manager.

FamilySearch International is the largest genealogy organization in the world. They are a

nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day

Saints. Millions of people use their records, resources, and services to learn more about their

family history. FamilySearch and its predecessors have been actively gathering, preserving, and

sharing genealogical records worldwide for over 130 years. People access their services and

resources free online at FamilySearch.org or through over 6,500 FamilySearch centers in 129
